Valentine’s Day 2021 Gift Guide

With Valentine’s day around the corner and the pandemic still a problem to our plans, we have to re-think the typical gift. Whether you’re celebrating alone, with your friends, or significant other, I’ve put together a list of things to consider for your Valentine.

For Friends:

  • I’m Glad You’re As Weird As Me
This hand poured candle by Ginger June Candle Co. is a fun little way to show your BFF you are thinking about them on Valentine’s Day and retails for just $14 at Nordstrom.
  • Versed Work from Home Mask + Mositurize Bundle
I recently shared on my IG stories a product from Versed that I love. So of course, I had to include this bundle. It’s perfect for your gal pal to treat herself to an at-home spa day. The Find Clarity mask is a great detox to bust breakouts and Photos, Please mask is great for a brighter, even complexion (even if the only photos you’re taking are selfies in your robe). To top it all off, the skin-soothing Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream helps seal all that goodness in and leave skin feeling hydrated and refreshed.
  • Marie Louise Confections “Love You a Latte”
For your Starbucks and chocolate loving friend, this Marie Louise Confections chocolate box is a cute “Rise and Shine” theme complete with hand-painted rainbows, lattes, and oranges. I love that this isn’t the typical pink and red hearts and roses theme chocolate box. Retails $32.

For You:

  • Slip Beauty Sleep Collection
Self-care is more important than ever right now. Whether it’s a good night sleep, better skincare, improved haircare, the Slip Beauty Sleep Collection will have you covered in all those areas. Slip uses the highest grade (6A) long fibre mulberry silk, with strict quality guidelines including non-toxic dyes. My favorite color combination is the Caramel + Black. The set comes with one pure silk queen/international standard pillowcase with an invisible zipper closure & one pure silk sleep mask. Retails $122 on the Slip site.
  • Brandon Blackwell ESR Tote
For your next grocery story trip, make a statement with this Brandon Blackwell End Systemic Racism tote bag. The soft pink satin canvas gives me Legally Blonde vibes, but the strong message comes in several different colors as well if pink is not your color. For $80, a portion of the proceeds with go to both The Door NYC and Black Girls Code, plus you’ll be supporting a Black designer!
  • Beatrice Stretch Silk Bralette
If you’re one of the brave ones in quarantine and ditched the bra, then move on to the next product. But if you’re like me and unfortunately still wearing one even while home then it may be worth considering this uber silky soft, yet vibrant bralette by Araks. There are several color combinations to choose from and the chiffon yoke adds a little bit of pizzazz to a your lingerie, so the splurge is worth it.

For Your Significant Other:

  • Fujifilm Instant Film Mini Camera
If you enjoy taking some selfies with your SO, swap the smartphone for some old school instant film shots. It’s fast shutter speed will also capture great images of your fur baby (or real baby) in it kids mode. Camera alone is currently discounted to $128 on Amazon, but bundles with extra film are also available.
  • Maud Borup Valentine’s Dinner Date Chocolates
Treat your SO to an unconventional “dinner date” with this classic Valentine’s meal made entirely from chocolate. Maud Borup realistically molds solid milk and white chocolate in the shapes of steak, broccoli, and for dessert — a dipped strawberry. A chocolate-lovers dream dinner if there ever was one for a fraction of the steak dinner price of $8.
  • Intimacy Deck of Conversation Cards
If you’re in a new relationship and wanting to take it to the next level, or looking to ignite some deep conversations with your SO, this conversations card set is perfect for that. The cards are designed to reestablish strong communication and connection with a partner, with meaningful questions. For about $20, this is cheaper than any couples workshop or therapy session.
