My Favorite Eye Products

This is about to be a long one, so brace yourselves. For me, the most important part of any makeup routine are the eyes so naturally I’ll have a long list of products that are my favs. Here are all my go-tos, some of which I have been using for over a decade!

Eyeliner

  • MAC Teddy Kohl
I have been using this MAC Teddy Kohl for almost half of my life and was actually one of the first makeup products I owned growing up as a teenager. A little background story: my first Teddy liner was passed on to me by my mom after she ended up with a ton of MAC products from a mall kiosk.

What I love most about this eyeliner is that goes on smooth and effortlessly and stays on the entire day. It has just a little bit of sparkle to help “awaken” the eyes and for my skin tone it’s perfect without looking harsh. I go through one after almost daily use on my top lid every 6 months.
  • Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
I started using Kat Von D products about 5 years ago and this liquid liner is the bomb! It’s waterproof and smudge resistant so it’s definitely reliable and won’t wear off by the end of the day. The tip of this eyeliner is not felt, so I can rely on it keeping shape and having a sharp tip perfect for creating a winged look. Heck, I used this on my clients when I used to do airbrush makeup as a freelance makeup artist. Best part? All Kat Von D’s products are vegan and cruelty-free!

Eye Cream

  • Fresh Beauty Lotus Youth Preserve Eye Cream
As many of you may know, after your 20s (even earlier, if you have skin like me) you have to start investing in great anti-aging products. The Fresh Beauty Lotus Youth Preserve Eye Cream is amazing. If you know me, you probably know I hate anything oily/greasy when it comes to makeup and skin products.

This eye cream has a multi-action Super Lotus along with horse chestnut flower extract helps to strengthen the eye area, and minimize the appearance of puffiness and fine lines. Did I mention, it literally smells like flowers?
  • Tatcha Water Cream
While not just for the eye area, the Water Cream by Japanese-inspired brand Tatcha, is a unique water-burst cream that breaks upon application to deeply deliver treatment benefits, hydrating without leaving skin sticky or greasy. It consists of Japanese Wild Rose and Japanese Leopard Lily to visibly tighten pores and smoothes skin texture, and helps control excess oil and clarify skin by encouraging natural skin turnover.

The coolest part? It imparts a subtle, shine-free glow with a touch of 23-karat gold.
  • CeraVe Eye Repair Cream
When I first started researching eye creams, I didn’t want to splurge on an expensive one without first trying something that could be purchased from the drug store. Our family uses a ton of CeraVe products, so it is a brand I trust. The CeraVe Eye Repair Cream is perfect for the hydration you need without breaking the bank.

This eye cream is formulated with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to deliver hydration while also restoring the skin’s natural barrier. Plus, it is ophthalmologist-tested for safety and is fragrance free, so you know it is suitable for use around the eyes.

Concealer

  • Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer
I LOVE this concealer! It is just the right blend of liquid and stick to deliver a great weightless, creamy finish without looking cakey under my eyes. I apply this with my fingers usually right out of the pot or sometimes a brush when I need a more full face look.

This product is also oil free and instantly blurs to smooth uneven texture while concealing dark spots, under eye circles, redness, and breakouts with a soft-focus matte effect that wears all day. Overtime, skin appears softer and smoother from supportive peptides, hyaluronic acid, and a protective cocktail of Vitamins A, C, and E. I use their Ginger shade which almost completely matches my skin.
  • Cover FX Full Coverage Cream Concealer
If you have severe dark circles or are looking for something with a lot more coverage, this is the liquid concealer for you. I have used the Cover FX concealer for a few years now in their N Medium shade and it does wonders for covering dark spots, blemishes and any redness.

The formula is water-based with an ultra-blendable texture that provides flawless full coverage. Plus, it’s enriched with antioxidants to nourish and protect skin while smoothing fine lines. Another vegan & cruelty-free product like Kat Von D.
  • Tatcha Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment
I just started to use another Tatcha product a few weeks ago, and this one is another that does not disappoint! I purchased their Softlight shade which is just a few shades lighter than my skin tone to help lighten up any dark and pigmented areas. I use the smallest amount (they say to use rice grain size) and its all I need for under my eye.

Just like its name, The Pearl, has light-refracting pearl pigments with Akoya Pearl extract to help address the three causes of under eye darkness: thinning skin, blue undertones, and pigmentation. It is boosted by niacinamide, known to visibly brighten and firm and works on all skin types!

Have you tried any of these products from my list? Let me know what you like from my favorites list or end up trying! I want to hear from you!
